Not a contractor. This site is a free referral service. It does not perform roofing work and does not inspect, price or guarantee any job. Any work is done by an independent roofer under its own contract with you.

Cost figures. Prices shown on the site come from third-party estimates published by This Old House, RoofObservations and AskDoss in 2026. They are broad statewide figures, and the cost calculator gives a rough range only. A roofer's written estimate is the only number that applies to your home.

Storm history. Storm and hail details are drawn from National Weather Service Omaha/Valley, Storm Prediction Center and FEMA records. Their mention does not mean any particular roof was damaged.

Laws and permits. Our summaries of Nebraska statutes and local permit practice are simplified and can change. Confirm anything important with the office involved, such as City of Omaha Permits & Inspections, your own city's building department, the Nebraska Department of Labor or a lawyer.

Roofer checks. We do not vouch for any roofer's skill or work. You can look up a contractor's Nebraska registration at dol.nebraska.gov/conreg/Search, but a registration is a filing with the state, not a measure of quality.
